INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL & PASSPORTS
Iceland is a European country so United States citizens can travel to Iceland for up to 90 days without a visa. Iceland.is will have all the information you need regarding visiting Iceland.
Please, we can't stress this enough, check and make sure that your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay.
FLIGHTS TO ICELAND
Keflavík International Airport (KEF) is the closest international airport to our venue.
Flights on WOW Air, a budget airline flies out from NYC, DC, Chicago and San Fran. We recommend keeping an eye out on WOW's best-fare page or using deal sites like Google Flights or Kayak to find the best fare!
If you can spare the time, especially since it's Labor Day weekend, we would recommend you budget an additional 3-4 days to explore Iceland on your own and we've have discounts for tours and rentals under our "Explore" tab. If you would make this part of a longer trip, Icelandair offers the option of a stopover in Iceland (up to 7 nights) to and from many European destinations at no extra charge!
IMPORTANT: We need all of our guests on the bus by 8:15 A.M. sharp! The last flight that we recommend everyone taking from NYC is on Saturday, 12:40 A.M., which will get you into Reykjavik at 10:45 A.M.

CAR RENTALS
You will need to get a car rental to go from Reykjavik to the hotel.
Please be prepared to drive ~1 hr.

Upon entering the Arrivals Hall at KEF, please follow the signs to the Rental Car Shuttle. You will load into the shuttle bus and take a 2-minute ride to the car rental office to check in.
IMPORTANT: please read this "Driving in Iceland" guide carefully before the drive!
WEATHER
Iceland in any season tends to be unpredictable with rain and strong wind, so there's a chance that we'll be hiking in the rain or strong winds throughout the day. In September, expect temperatures to have lows near 43°F and highs around 52°F . Please dress accordingly!
In September, there will only be about 14 hours of daylight --
so there might be a chance to see the Northern Lights!

Blue lagoon spa
The Blue Lagoon Spa is a must visit for anyone that is coming to visit Iceland. Let it be your first or last stop, this is one place that guarantees relaxation for any weary traveler.
Thingvellir
This is the national park of Iceland, one that guarantees to take your breath away. Sometimes when you visit, you can look for miles and not see another single human being. This is truly what they call being one with mother nature.
Gullfoss
This is one of the most popular waterfall in Iceland. The scenery will definitely take your breathe away as you watch the roaring water fall over the cliff, giving it a trace-like quality.
Skógafoss
This is another popular waterfall in Iceland that will leave you breathless. It's so beautiful that even Marvel filmed some scenes here. Untouched by civilization, this place will leave you wondering why you haven't visit sooner.
Reykjavík
This is the capital of Iceland, a place where the Ancient Vikings once called home. With many interesting places to see and food to try, it's no mystery why people fall in love with this place.
sólheimajökull Glacier
Be sure to plan a visit to this glacier or else it won't be there in the future. The experience from this hike is something that you'll be remembering for the rest of your life. Plan ahead and make sure you don't miss this.
